CarMirror Privacy Policy

Thank you for using CarMirror (hereinafter referred to as "this App"). This App is the official supporting application for Honda EMirror. We understand the importance of privacy to you, so we hereby explain how this App processes data.

1. Core Principle: No Data Collection, No Network Transmission

This App is designed in accordance with the principles of minimum permission and localized processing. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, phone number, etc.) to any external server or cloud. All functions of this App rely on local direct communication between your mobile phone and the EMirror via WiFi, with no internet connection involved.

2. App Functions and Data Processing

The main functions of this App include: connecting to EMirror via WiFi, checking device status, adjusting EMirror settings (e.g., recording status, WiFi information), and browsing, previewing, and downloading video and image files captured by EMirror.

When using these functions:

• File Access Permission (Necessary): To download and save video and image files from EMirror to your mobile phone, this App requires the "Storage" permission or uses the "Manage Storage" function. Downloaded files will be saved in a designated album or folder on your mobile phone, which is fully controlled by you.
• Local Network Communication: This App establishes a local connection with EMirror through the EMirror’s hotspot that you manually connect to via WiFi. During this process, only control commands and media files are transmitted, and all data remains within the local network composed of your mobile phone and EMirror.
• Other Permissions: This App does not require or request the following permissions: location, microphone, camera, contacts, phone calls, text messages, etc. We will not access or use such data.

3. Data Security

Since all data (videos, images, setting commands) is only transmitted between your mobile phone and EMirror via an encrypted WiFi connection and will not be uploaded to any external server, the security of your data is jointly protected by your local network environment and your device security measures (e.g., mobile phone lock screen password).

4. Third-Party Services

This App does not integrate any third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), advertising SDKs, or social media plugins. Therefore, we will not share your data with any third party.

5. Children’s Privacy

This App is not intended for children, and we do not collect any personal information from children.

6. Policy Updates

If the functions of this App change in the future, requiring adjustments to data processing methods, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you within the App or through other means.
